Rising Arizona Gas Prices May Finally Level Off
Rising gas prices have slowed to a crawl in Arizona, increasing a penny this week to $3.064. The national average shed 1.9 cents to $2.94 per gallon.
"Arizona gas prices appear to be tapering off, signaling that prices may stabilize as we move further into June," said Michelle Donati, spokeswoman for AAA Arizona. “This shift, in part, can be attributed to falling crude oil prices, although it likely won’t be enough to drop gas prices more significantly this summer."
South Carolina and California hold the lowest and highest average price for the lower 48 states at $2.613 and $3.73 per gallon.
